CHATTOGRAM, May 27, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today granted petition to quiz ISKCON leader and spokesman of Sanatani Jagaran Jote Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari at the jail gate in another case filed on charge of attacking mosque and vandalizing the complex on Chattogram court premises.  

 Earlier on Monday, the court also granted a petition to quiz Chinmoy Krishna Das at the jail gate in another case filed against him for assaulting on duty police at the same area.

Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate SM Alauddin passed the order this afternoon after hearing the petition submitted by the investigation officer of the case.

 
Confirming the matter, Assistant Public Prosecutor Advocate Md. Raihanul Wazed Chowdhury   said that during the bail hearing of Chinmoy Das, who is now in jail in a sedition case, there was an attack on a mosque, and the mosque complex was vandalized on Chattogram court premises.  

On May 18, the court ordered to grill Chinmoy at the jail gate in the sedition case for disrespecting the national flag and the murder of lawyer Saiful Islam.

Chinmoy was arrested from Dhaka on November 25 last year in a sedition case for disrespecting the Bangladesh flag. He is currently in Chittagong Central Jail.

A total of six cases were filed against Chinmoy,  including murder of a lawyer, attacks on police,   vandalism of vehicles, attacks on lawyers and litigants, and cocktail explosions.
