Bangladesh, Türkiye discuss growing fraternal partnership

DHAKA, July 21, 2026 (BSS) – The foreign ministry today said Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir today reviewed Bangladesh’s growing fraternal partnership with Ankara in a meeting with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci in Manila.

“During the meeting, the two sides had a cordial exchange of views on the steadily growing partnership between Bangladesh and Türkiye,” the foreign ministry said in a statement.

It said their interaction, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meetings in the Philippines capital, reflected the close and friendly bilateral relations and their continued engagement towards further strengthening Dhaka-Ankara cooperation.

The statement further said the Rahman and Kobir had a cordial exchange of views on the steadily growing partnership between Bangladesh and Türkiye.

The foreign minister arrived in Manila this afternoon from New York to join the ARF meetings.
