DHAKA, Sept 03, 2026 (BSS) – Online registration has begun for the students admitted to Class IX under the SSC (Vocational) and Dakhil (Vocational) programmes of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board for the 2026-27 academic year.

In a notice issued today, the board instructed the heads of all concerned institutions to complete the registration process according to the prescribed schedule.

According to the notice, online data entry and payment of fees and registration will continue from September 3 to 20. The final list (hard copy) can be printed from September 30 to October 8.

Each institution must have form a three-member registration committee to upload students’ registration information. The committee must properly verify the information entered against the admission forms and certificates and ensure that any errors are corrected. Students must not be involved in the registration process under any circumstances.

The notice further said students who have passed the JSC, JDC, JSC (Vocational) or Class VIII examinations under any education board will be eligible for registration.

For admission to the first shift at government institutions, students must have passed the qualifying examination in 2020 or later. However, the passing-year requirement may be relaxed for admission to the second shift at government institutions and private institutions.

Students must be at least 12 years old as of December 31, 2025.

The board said each approved trade can admit a maximum of 50 students, including 40 regular seats and 10 dropout seats. At least 12 students must be enrolled in each trade.

As the central results server of the Inter-Education Board is currently closed, institutions have been instructed to manually enter students’ data based on their JSC/JDC/Class VIII pass certificates and online birth registration records.

Only institutions that have paid all outstanding affiliation fees up to the 2025-26 fiscal year will be able to complete the registration process through the board’s e-service platforms (bteb.gov.bd, btebesheba.gov.bd). 

The heads of the respective institutions will be held fully responsible for any errors in data entry or failure to complete the registration within the stipulated time.
