CHATTOGRAM, Aug 30, 2026 (BSS) - At least 53 new dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals in Chattogram over the past 24 hours.

According to the Chattogram Civil Surgeon's Office, 20 dengue patients were admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital, 13 to the Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases, 10 to the 250-bed General Hospital, nine to upazila health complexes, and one to a private hospital or clinic.

The total number of dengue patients in Chattogram from January 1 to August 29 this year has reached 1,932.
