DHAKA, Aug 28, 2026 (BSS) - Czech Republic President Petr Pavel has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on assuming the Office of the President here. 

President Pavel conveyed the message through a congratulatory letter issued from Prague. 

In the message, President Pavel said, “Allow me to extend my sincere congratulations on your election as the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.” 

“I am pleased with the good and friendly relations between our countries, and I firmly believe that they will continue to develop successfully in the years ahead,” he added. 

“I wish you good health, every success in the discharge of your important duties, and much happiness in your personal life,” the letter reads.
