DHAKA, August 10, 2026 (BSS) - Country’s cadet colleges have achieved remarkable results in the 2026 SSC examinations.
In this year's examinations, out of a total of 618 examinees from 12 cadet colleges, 607 secured GPA-5. The pass rate was 100 percent and the rate of achieving GPA-5 was 98.22 percent.
The cadet colleges are residential educational institutions operating under the Ministry of Defence, under the direct supervision of the Adjutant General of the Bangladesh Army and the President of the Cadet College Governing Body. The goal of these cadet colleges is not merely to achieve good results, but to mould cadets into competent and responsible citizens.
To this end, alongside academic studies, equal importance is given to character building and co-curricular activities in the daily routines of the cadets. With the aim that cadets can keep pace with the modern era and reach honourable positions in the future, these institutions are continuously incorporating contemporary education and co-curricular programmes.
Behind the consistent success of the cadets of these colleges are the institution's internal disciplined environment, the round-the-clock care and supervision of experienced faculty members, the cadets' perseverance, regular study habits, and sincere efforts.
Furthermore, the proper guidance of the Cadet College Governing Body, the sincere efforts of the experienced and qualified principals, vice-principals, teachers, officers and all categories of staff working at the colleges, as well as the cooperation of the respected guardians, have made this successful outcome possible.
