Speaking as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting with heads of NU-affiliated institutions in Cox's Bazar, held at Cox's Bazar Government College, the VC said, "The National University is working to turn students into skilled human resources. Alongside moral development, making higher education job-oriented is now a key priority of the university."
Professor Dr. Amanullah noted that the National University manages around 70 percent of the country's higher education, with most students coming from middle- and lower-middle-income families.

He also said the university has signed memorandums of understanding with the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA), the National Skills Development Authority, UNICEF, and other organizations to provide technical training opportunities for students.
On syllabus modernization, the vice-chancellor said curricula are being updated to prioritize modern technology and align with the needs of industries and institutions.
"Our main objective is to ensure that at the end of their academic life, hundreds of thousands of youths can either quickly enter the job market or establish themselves as entrepreneurs," he added.
Highlighting the tourism potential of Cox's Bazar, Professor Amanullah emphasized the importance of introducing professional courses in "Tourism and Hospitality Management" in the district.
