RAJSHAHI, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) - At the National Education Week-2026, organized by the Ministry of Education, Rajshahi College has once again earned national recognition by being named the best educational institution.
To mark the occasion, a colorful celebratory rally was organized at the college campus to celebrate the achievement on Wednesday.
The rally began in front of the Rajshahi College administrative building, proceeded through Varendra Research Museum, toured key roads of the city, and concluded again in front of the college administration building.
Rajshahi College Principal Professor Ibrahim Ali, Vice Principal Professor Abu Yunus Ali, former Principal Professor Md. Zahur Ali, Teachers' Council Secretary Professor Seraj Uddin, Head of the Bengali Department Professor Shikha Sarkar, along with teachers from various departments and students, were present at the rally.
Speaking at the event, Principal Professor Ibrahim Ali said that Rajshahi College is one of the oldest colleges in Bangladesh and has long upheld its history and tradition, which is a matter of pride for the institution.
He noted that Rajshahi College was selected as the best college at the national level, considering the quality of its teachers, teaching and learning methods, infrastructure, and standards of cleanliness.
Prof Ibrahim Ali further said that this achievement was made possible through the collective efforts of the college's teachers, students, staff, and cleaning personnel.
As the principal of Rajshahi College, he expressed hope to energize and enhance the quality of these activities in the future.
Besides, due to this continued legacy and the college once again earning the honor of being the best in the country, a sense of joy and festivity was observed among the teachers, students, and staff of the College.
