DHAKA, Dec 20, 2025 (BSS)- Education Adviser Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar today said a vested quarter is carrying out evil efforts to tarnish the spirit of the July Uprising .
In a statement, he said that because of the evil efforts of that quarter, there is also a risk that the conspiracies of anti-Bangladesh fascist forces may succeed.
Abrar said when the entire nation is mourning the heart-breaking martyrdom of Sharif Osman Hadi, taking advantage of this incident, a small number of extremist and reckless groups are engaged to create disorder and chaos in different parts of the country.
These groups attacked the building of one of Bangladesh’s long-standing cultural institutions, ‘Chhayanaut’, set it on fire, and destroyed many of its musical and educational materials, he said.
The educational activities of ‘Nalanda’, which is run in that building under the management of Chhayanaut, have also been affected by this attack, he mentioned.
The education adviser strongly condemned this incident.
He also condemned the attack and arson at the office of the cultural organization ‘Udichi’.
Abrar expressed deep concern and strong condemnation over the attacks carried out on the offices of two newspapers, ‘Prothom Alo’ and ‘The Daily Star’, and over the despicable act of humiliating the country’s veteran, undaunted journalist and daily New Age editor Nurul Kabir.
