JAMALPUR, June 6, 2026(BSS)- A young man was killed by crushing under a speeding Intercity train at Dewanganj Bazaar Railway station this morning.

The victim was identified as Monowar Hossain, 27, son of Md Dudu Miah at village Gamaria in Dewanganj Upazila of the district.

Jamalpur Railway Police said Monowar while boarding a running Dhaka bound Brahmaputra Intercity train was slept and crushed under the wheels of the train.

Officer-in-charge, Jamalpur Railway Police, Md Rabiul Islam confirmed the incident.

A case was registered with Dewanganj Bazaar Railway Police.
