DU Business Studies unit admission test held

DHAKA, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS) - The admission test for the first-year undergraduate programme of the Business Education Unit (Faculty of Business Studies) at Dhaka University for the 2025-2026 academic session was held today in a fair and peaceful manner.

A total of 34,062 candidates appeared for the test, including 5,148 from the science, 5,892 from humanities, and 23,222 from business education, competing for 1,050 available seats. On average, around 33 candidates are vying for every seat, said a DU press release this afternoon.

The admission test began at 11:00 am and continued until 12:30 pm without any break. The test was held on DU campus and four divisional cities outside Dhaka.

The centers outside Dhaka are Chittagong University, Rajshahi University, Khulna University and Rangpur Begum Rokeya University.

Of the 1,050 seats in the faculty (Ga unit), 930 are reserved for business education students, 95 for science students, and 25 for humanities students.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan visited the center at noon. 

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-VC (Education) Prof Dr Mamun Ahmed, Treasurer Prof Dr M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Prof Dr Mahmud Osman Imam and Proctor Prof Saifuddin Ahmed accompanied the VC during the visit.
