DHAKA, Dec 25, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak today said action will be taken if anyone tries to disrupt election campaign of independent candidates.

"Action will be taken if anyone tries to hinder election campaign of independent candidates," he said.

He told journalists during his election campaign held in front of Susana Community Centre at Mohammadpur in Dhaka-13 constituency.

Nanak conducted election campaign with his party leaders and activists in the constituency's different areas.

Hoping that the people will cast their vote in favor of AL as they want to keep the country's development spree continue, he said, "The countrymen will cast their vote for Awami League spontaneously."
Nanak said the upcoming general election will be held in a free, fair and neutral manner in the country under the election commission.
 
"BNP will be not able to foil election through anarchy," he added.
Dhaka city north unit AL President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman and organizing secretary Azizul Haque Rana and president of Dhaka north city Chhatra League Riyaz Mahmud, among others, were present.
