DHAKA, Dec 21, 2023 (BSS) - The Anti Terrorism Unit (ATU) of Bangladesh Police arrested a fugitive accused of banned militant group Ansarullah Bangla Team in a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act, filed with Panchbibi thana in Joypurhat district, from Badarganj thana area of Rangpur district last night (Wednesday).

The arrested was Md Ariful Islam, 19, son of Abu Kalam alias Abul Kalam of Dhurail Paschimpar (Buritala) village of Panchbibi thana of Joypurhat district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of ATU arrested him from the aforesaid area around 7.30 pm, a press release said here today.
