3rd TRI Services Staff Talk held in Dhaka

DHAKA, Aug 29, 2023 (BSS) - The 3rd TRI Services Staff Talk (TSST) was held at multipurpose hall of the Armed Forces Division in cantonment here today aiming to enhance cooperation between the armed forces of Bangladesh and India.

During the dialogue, various bilateral military issues, including mutual military cooperation and training were discussed, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release said.

Director General of Operations & Plan Directorate at the Bangladesh's Armed Forces Division Brig Gen Husain Muhammad Masihur Rahman and Air Vice Marshal Ashish Vohra of India led their respective sides.

The 1st TSST was held in Bangladesh in 2019, while the 2nd TSST in India in 2022 with a view to enhancing cooperation between the armed forces of the two neighbours.

The base of cooperation between the armed forces of Bangladesh and India, which has stood solidly now, was established during the 1971 Liberation War. This relation of both the countries is multidimensional, multilateral and flourishing.

The relation among the army, navy and air force of Bangladesh and India is very deep. Indian cooperation is visible in providing training to the armed forces of Bangladesh.

Every year, many members of the Bangladesh Armed Forces join training in various institutes in India, while the members of the Indian Armed Forces participate in various trainings in Bangladesh, too.
 
The armed forces of the two countries have been working together in UN peacekeeping missions at various levels.

Later, Air Vice Marshal Ashish Vohra met Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division Lieutenant General Waker-Uz-Zaman.
