DHAKA, Aug 18, 2023 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested notorious dacoit gang leader Raisul Islam alias Ripon (40) from capital's Khilkhet area last night (Thursday).

"Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-3 conducted a raid around 11:50 pm in Khilkhet area and managed to arrest Ripon. He has many robbery cases pending against him with different police stations," RAB-3 senior assistant superintendant of police (media) Farjana Haque told BSS.

 RAB sources said Ripon is the leader a Rampura-based dacoit gang. He went into hiding after an arrest warrant was issued against him in a case filed in 2021.
