SYDNEY, July 26, 2023 (BSS/AFP) - Authorities confirmed Wednesday that 51 pilot whales had died on a Western Australian beach, just hours after stranding themselves.

The state's Parks and Wildlife Service said it was trying to save 46 remaining whales by guiding them to deeper water during the day.
