TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, July 6, 2023 (BSS) - The leaders of Gopalganj Jubo Mohila League today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on the occasion of the founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami Jubo Mahila League.

Leaders of Gopalganj Jubo Mohila League led by its President Parsia Sultana and General Secretary Nahida Khan Molly placed a floral wreath at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara this afternoon.

Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Awami Mahila Jubo League President Syeda Akhtar Papia, General Secretary Bedara Akhtar Irene, Tungipara Upazila Awami Mahila Jubo League President Sofida Akhtar Jonaki, General Secretary Mahmuda Khan, Kotalipara Upazila Awami Mahila Jubo League President Sabana Khan Jes, its General Secretary Ruby Biswas and other leaders of the units, among others, were present.

After laying the wreath, the Jubo Mohila League leaders stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu, the architect of Bangladesh's independence.

A special doa, seeking eternal peace of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage as well as martyrs of the War of Liberation, was offered.

A special prayer was also offered seeking long life of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members.
