RAJSHAHI, June 19, 2023 (BSS) - Police arrested an alleged top-listed drug-trader with 7.5 kilograms of heroin from a village in the district early hours today.

The arrestee has been identified as Ziarul Islam, 35, son of late Abdul Latif of Kosaipara village under Godagari upazila in the district.

On a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid in his house and recovered 7.5 kilograms of heroin, 18 bottles of phensedyl, Taka 24.5 lakh in cash and 258 grams of gold ornaments.

Superintendent of Police ABM Masud Hossain said the drugs and other valuables were stockpiled in a big size and modern volt made with steel.
 
Quoting his confessional statement the police officer said he was involved in trafficking and trading various types of drugs for long times.
