DHAKA, March 10, 2023 (BSS) - State Minister for Social Welfare M Ashraf Ali Khan Khosru today said the present government is determined to ensure good government services for people with disabilities and has been working tirelessly to ensure that people with disabilities can access government services more easily.

"In this purpose, the government is providing education stipend to one lakh disabled students and disability allowance among 23.65 lakh people," he said. 

The state minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at a programme of "Ekta Project" funded by 'USAID' organized by Foundation for People at BRAC Center in Mohakhali in the city, said a press release.

Khosru said that the government has continued its sincere efforts to protect the rights of all disabled citizens and improve their quality of life. 

USAID's Mission Director Catherine Stevens, Executive Director of Foundation for People Shaheen Anam, Social Services Director General M Sabbir Imam and Secretary General of National Handicapped Forum Dr Selina Akhtar spoke, among others.
