DOHAR, DHAKA, Feb 16, 2023 (BSS) – State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen today said the government will resume midday meal programme for primary school students from July this year.
 
The government will resume midday meal programme so that the nutritional status of school-age children improves, he said.
 
The state minister said this while visiting different schools in the remote char-area Narkelbaria of Dhaka district's Dohar upazila and Faridpur district's Sadarpur upazila on the banks of the Padma River.
 
During a discussion with the teachers, students and parents, he assured them of solving the infrastructural problems of the schools and building the wash block as soon as possible.
 
He also gave assurance of constructing the teacher-dormitory in Narkelbaria.
 
Private Secretary (PS) to the State Minister Mohammad Mikail, Dohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mobaswer Alam, Sadarpur UNO Ahsan Masud Russel and Narkelbaria Union Parishad Chairman Nasiruddin Sardar were present, among others.
