Supreme Court administration fixes Ramadan office time for courts

DHAKA, March 31, 2022 (BSS) - The Supreme Court administration today fixed the office hour for its Appellate and High Court Divisions and lower courts during the holy Ramadan.

The official activities of the Appellate Division will start at 8:30 am and continue to 3 pm from Sunday to Thursday with a break from 1:15-1:30 pm, except weekly and government-declared holidays during the holy month, an official release said.

However, the Appellate Division's 'court schedule' will remain unchanged.

The trial proceedings of the High Court Division will run from 10:30 am to 3:15 pm from Sunday to Thursday with a break for Zuhr prayers from 1:15am to 2:00pm.

 But, the 'official activities' of the High Court Division will continue from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm with a break from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm.

On the other hand, at the lower courts, the trial proceedings will start at 9:30 am and continue to 3 pm from Sunday to Thursday with a break for the Zuhr prayers from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm.

The lower court offices will remain open from 9 am to 3:30 pm with a break for Zuhr prayers from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm.
