DHAKA, June 16, 2026 (BSS) - A meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) is underway with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in the chair.

The meeting began this morning at the Public Administration Meeting Room of the Cabinet Division at Bangladesh Secretariat here, said Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Md Suzauddhowla Sujon Mahmud.

The last ECNEC meeting was held on June 9 with the Prime Minister in the chair. 

At that meeting, a total of 12 new and revised projects were placed for approval, aimed at advancing development in the country's infrastructure, health, technology, and energy sectors. Of those, 10 projects were approved.
