Hasan for forging united resistance against anti-liberation forces

DHAKA, March 7, 2023 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today said the anti-liberation force is still plotting intrigues even after 52 years of independence, urging to forge stiff resistance against them as he paid glowing tribute to Bangabandhu on March 7.

"BNP and its leaders are the evil forces' main patrons. The March 7 pledge is to build a united resistance against the anti-liberation forces and those who want to take the country backward with the Pakistani ideology," he said.

Hasan, also Awami League Joint General Secretary, told the newsmen after paying homage at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in city's Dhanmondi-32.

The minister said the greatest Bangalee of all times Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's March 7 speech inspired an unarmed nation in turning into an armed nation to achieve independence.

"Bangabandhu had declared that 'The struggle this time is the struggle for our liberation. The struggle this time is the struggle for our independence’”, he added.

Hasan called Bangabandhu's March 7 speech as one of the best speeches in world history, saying, the Father of the Nation literally proclaimed Bangladesh independence by his speech on March 7, 1971.
