DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) – Independent candidate Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Iqbal has been elected unofficially from Kishoreganj-5 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election.

He secured 79,604 votes while his nearest rival BNP candidate Sayed Ehsanul Huda received 66,450 votes.

In the referendum, 1,34,467 voters cast 'Yes' votes while 48,746 others cast 'No' votes in this constituency.

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today.
