DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - BNP-nominated candidate Biswas Jahangir Alam has been elected unofficially in the Narail-1 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election, securing 99,975 votes.

His nearest rival in the constituency, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami-nominated candidate Md Obaidullah, received 75,225 votes.

In the referendum held in the constituency, 1, 00,554 votes were cast in favour of "Yes," while 70,959 votes were cast for "No."

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in capital's Agargaon area today.
