DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - BNP candidate Md Shahidul Islam has been elected unofficially from Faridpur-4 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election.

He secured 1,27,443 votes while his nearest rival Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Sarwar Hossain bagged 75,805 votes. 

In the referendum, 1,43,102 voters cast "yes" vote while 1,11,090 others cast "no" vote in this constituency. 

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.
