DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Gayeshwar Chandra Roy was elected from the Dhaka-3 constituency in the 13th national parliament election.
According to the unofficial results, he secured 99,163 votes with the party’s electoral symbol, the Paddy Sheaf.
His nearest rival Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md. Shahinur Islam secured 83,264 votes with the scale symbol.
In the same constituency, 137,047 ‘yes’ votes and 44,637 ‘no’ votes were recorded in the referendum held alongside the parliamentary election.
Senior Secretary of the Election Commission, Akhtar Ahmed, announced the unofficial results at a formal briefing at the Election Commission’s 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum-2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center at the Agargaon Election Building in Dhaka today.
