DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Md Mominul Haque, candidate of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has been unofficially elected from the Chandpur-5 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing 185404 votes.

According to the unofficial results, his closest rival, Md Neyamul Bashir of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) received 75,660 votes.

In the same constituency, a total of 147817 voters cast 'yes' votes, while 120667 voted 'no', reflecting significant participation in the referendum process held alongside the parliamentary polls.

The results were disclosed during a formal briefing at the Referendum and Thirteenth National Parliamentary Election-2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center of the Election Commission. The briefing took place at the Agargaon Election Building in the capital.
