"Vote Rickshaw" campaign launched in Tangail

TANGAIL, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) - The District Information Office has launched the "Vote Rickshaw" campaign to raise awareness ahead of the 13th parliamentary election and the upcoming referendum.

The campaign was inaugurated on Thursday afternoon by District Senior Information Officer Tahlima Jannat in front of the District Information Office.

Speaking at the event, Tahlima Jannat said as part of the nationwide campaign, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in collaboration with the Department of Mass Communication, has introduced the "Vote Rickshaw" initiative to engage voters.

"The campaign will carry out various awareness and motivational activities across 120 unions in the 12 upazilas of the district," she said. "Through the rickshaw campaign, the general public will be informed about the benefits of voting 'yes' in the referendum and the potential consequences of a 'no' vote."

The rickshaw-based campaign is set to continue until February 9, reaching voters across the district through publicity and outreach programmes.

Assistant Director of the District Information Office Tabassum Sultana, along with other officers and staff members, were present at the inauguration.
