DHAKA, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS)- BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman departed Dhaka this evening for Sylhet to begin party’s 13th Parliament Election campaign formally from the holy city.

He left his Gulshan residence for Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 6:38 PM. He is expected to arrive in Sylhet by air around 8:15 PM, according to BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan.
Tarique Rahman will visit the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) tonight and offer prayer in the shrine.

Tomorrow morning he will address party’s grand election rally at Sylhet Govt Alia Madrasa ground launching his party campaign for 13th Parliamentary Election.  

Later, he will attend rallies in six districts tomorrow. He will address election rallies in Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Brahmanbaria, Kishoreganj, Narsingdi. On way to Dhaka he will address an election rally in Narayanganj.

In Moulvibazar his election rally will be held at Sherpur Ainpur playground at Sadar Upazila. From there he will go to Habigonj and deliver speech at a rally at Shayestaganj Upazila.

In the afternoon, he will attend rallies at the Kuttapara football ground in Sarail Upazila of Brahmanbaria district. Later he will address a rally at Bhairab Stadium in Kishoreganj. From there, he will participate in a rally at the ground adjacent to the Narsingdi Municipal Park.

On the return journey, he will attend a rally in  Narayanganj.

BNP Chairman will return Dhaka on tomorrow night.
