DHAKA, Jan 20, 2026 (BSS) - Swedish Ambassador to Bangladesh Nicolas Weeks today paid a courtesy call on Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin at the Election Commission office in Agargaon here.

Various issues related to the upcoming national election were discussed during the meeting, CEC's Private Secretary Mohammad Ashraful Alam told BSS.

Senior Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat Akhtar Ahmed was also present at the meeting, he added.

Earlier, the Swedish Ambassador, accompanied by another representative, arrived at the Election Commission around 2:15 pm.
