NARSINGDI, Feb 6, 2026 (BSS) - Female activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami held a massive rally in Narsingdi today, marking the first such demonstration by the party's women's wing amid rising election enthusiasm.
The march began at 10:00 am from Shikha Chattar, led by Jamaat-e-Islami candidate for Narsingdi-1, Ibrahim Bhuiya.
The procession passed through key city areas, including Arshinagar Rail Crossing, Boro Bazar, and the Bus Stand, before concluding at Sattirpara.
Women of all ages participated enthusiastically, chanting slogans in support of Jamaat-e-Islami and calling for social and political security.
Among the rally leaders were Rahima Nasrin, Narsingdi District women's wing secretary Jamaat; Nurun Naeem, assistant secretary; Parveen Khandakar, secretary of Sadar Thana and Nazma Begum, city secretary.
At the post-march rally, speakers emphasized the party's commitment to safeguarding women's rights and providing a secure working environment.
They also condemned recent obscene remarks targeting women after the hacking of the Jamaat Ameer's social media account, asserting that such propaganda would not damage the party's reputation and highlighting that Jamaat-e-Islami offers the safest political platform for women.
