RAJSHAHI, Sept 9, 2026 (BSS)- The rank badge awarding ceremony for Cadet Under Officer (CUO) of the Air Wing of Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC), University of Rajshahi (RU), was held this afternoon, in the conference room of the Administration Building.
 
Vice-Chancellor Professor Faridul Islam and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Md. Abdul Alim and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Mamunur Rashid were present at the ceremony.
 
The Vice-Chancellor adorned the promoted CUO Tasnim Rashid Aparna (Department of Graphic Design, Crafts and History of Art) with the rank badge.
 
This is the first time in the Air Wing that a female cadet has been honored with the CUO rank badge.
 
In his congratulatory speech at the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor said that the assistance provided by BNCC cadets in various voluntary activities at RU, especially during admission tests, national important days and other events, is commendable.

He expressed hope that their positive activities will continue in the future.
 
In his speech, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) mentioned that alongside studies, the experience and skills of BNCC cadets will be useful in society and nation-building activities.
 
In his speech, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) said that the voluntary service provided by BNCC cadets in times of natural disasters and other emergency services is exemplary.
He thanked them for this.
 
Among others present at the ceremony were The Administrator of the Public Relations Office Professor S M Kamruzzaman, RU BNCC Chief Coordinating Officer and Professor under Officer of the Air Wing Professor Bimal Kumar Pramanik, along with concerned cadets.
