HABIGANJ, Aug 26, 2026 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Saghur area on the Dhuliyakhal-Mirpur road in Sadar upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Biplob Chandra Dev, 35 of the area.

Quoting locals, police said the accident occurred when a locally-made vehicle auto-rickshaw collided head-on a motorcycle in the area, leaving bike rider Biplob injured critically.

Locals rescued him and sent him to Habiganj Sadar Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead.

Habiganj Sadar Model Thana OC Jahidul Haque confirmed the incident.
