RANGPUR, Aug 25, 2026 (BSS) - Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) Commissioner
Mr Mohammad Abdul Mabud exchanged views with the July Uprising injured
fighters and martyrs' family members to know their various problems and
expectations.
At the beginning of the exchange of views, the Police Commissioner welcomed
and honored the injured July fighters and the family members of the martyrs
with bouquets of flowers.
During the exchange of views held at the RpMP conference hall in the city
today (Tuesday), the July fighters and martyrs' family members presented
their various problems including their treatment, employment to the Police
Commissioner.
He listened to their statements carefully and assured them of necessary
cooperation within his capacity and jurisdiction.
Regarding the treatment of the injured July fighters, the RpMP Commissioner
said that the necessary information and medical documents of the concerned
parties should be prepared.
"I shall hold discussions with the higher authorities of Bangladesh Police
regarding medical assistance through the Central Police Hospital, if
required. Initiatives will also be taken to create opportunities for
specialized treatment and surgery if necessary," he said.
Regarding the employment of July fighters and their female family members, he
said that initiatives will be taken after examining prospects of service in
Rangpur Metropolitan Police Lines School and related institutions according
to qualifications and opportunities.
He advised that if July fighters and their family members residing in
different districts and police stations of Rangpur division are interested in
employment, their information should be listed.
The RpMP Chief also advised that initiatives should be taken through the
concerned parties to create employment opportunities in private institutions
in different areas of the country including Dhaka.
The Police Commissioner warned everyone not to make financial transactions
while providing employment or any opportunity.
"It is very important to maintain the social status and honor of July
fighters and martyred family members," he said.
The July Uprising injured fighters and martyrs' family members and high
officials of RpMP attended the programme.
