RANGAMATI, Aug 13, 2026 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB-27), Marishya Zone, provided free treatment and medicines to over 300 people in Baghaichhari upazila of the district today.
The medical camp was organized at Baghaichhari High School ground under the theme “Development of Peace and Harmony.”
Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel Zahidul Islam Zahid attended the programme. Medical Officer Major Dr Amit Kumar Shah, other BGB officials, journalists and local dignitaries were also present.
Speaking at the event, Lieutenant Colonel Zahidul Islam said that alongside its responsibility for ensuring security along the border, the BGB has been working for the socio-economic welfare of local communities, including in the areas of education and healthcare.
He said the BGB would continue such welfare activities in the future.
