321 students receive educational materials in Bagerhat's Rampal

BAGERHAT, Aug 9, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company Limited (BIFPCL) today distributed educational materials among 321 students in Rampal upazila of Bagerhat under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

The materials were handed over to students of Rajnagar Lower Secondary Girls' School and Kalekharber Secondary School at a programme held at the Rajnagar Union Parishad premises in the afternoon.

BIFPCL Project Head Abhishek Kumar attended the programme as the chief guest. He said the power plant authority would continue its support for education, healthcare and infrastructure development in the local community.

BIFPCL Chief Human Resources Officer Anwarul Azim, Deputy General Manager Tariqul Islam and Assistant Superintendent of Police of Mongla Circle Md Refatul Islam were present.

Speakers urged the students to remain attentive to their studies and highlighted the company's various social welfare initiatives in the area.

Teachers and guardians welcomed the initiative, saying the educational materials would particularly benefit students from financially disadvantaged families.

The organisers said BIFPCL plans to continue community welfare programmes aimed at improving the quality of life of local residents.
