SIRAJGANJ, Aug 8, 2026 (BSS) - Two people were killed and at least 10 others injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a goods-laden truck in Nolka area under Kamarkhand upazila of the district early this morning.
The identities of the deceased could not be known.
The accident occurred around 1:30 am on the western approach road to the Jamuna Bridge when a Chattogram-bound bus collided head-on with a truck, leaving the bus driver dead on the spot and 10 others injured.
Sub-Inspector Ranjan Debnath of Jamuna Bridge West Police Station confirmed the matter and said police recovered the bodies and rescued the injured before taking them to Sirajganj Medical College Hospital for treatment.
