KHULNA, Aug 8, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested four alleged drug traders and seized 3,958 yaba tablets during a special drive in Miapara area under Khulna Sadar Police Station, said a RAB press release today noon.

A team of RAB-6, Sadar Company, conducted the drive at around 8:40 am following a tip-off, as part of its ongoing campaign against drugs under its “zero tolerance” policy.

The arrested persons were identified as Nasi Uddin Santu, 37, and his wife Safia Begum, 32, of Putikhali village in Morelganj upazila of Bagerhat, and Mariam, 20, and Aysha of Balukhali area in Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar.

RAB said the yaba tablets were recovered from their possessions and seized in accordance with legal procedures in the presence of witnesses.

A case under the Narcotics Control Act will be filed with Khulna Sadar Police Station, and the arrested persons will be handed over to police for further legal action, RAB-6 press release added.
