KHULNA, August 3, 2026 (BSS) – Lawmaker Fahmida Haque (reserved seat for Khulna-2 and Khulna-6) today said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman would ensure equitable development across the country and uphold the legitimate rights of the people.

Fahmida said she would raise the concerns of the people of the neglected Khulna region in the Jatiya Sangsad and extend full support to the development projects undertaken or planned by the Khulna Development Authority (KDA) for the welfare of the region.

"I will do everything necessary at the ministry level to secure development projects for Khulna and present the demands of the people of Khulna to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman," she said while speaking at a reception accorded to her by the Khulna Development Authority (KDA) at a city hotel.
Welcoming the MP, KDA Chairman Advocate S.M. Shafiqul Alam Mona briefed her on the authority's ongoing and planned development projects and reaffirmed KDA's commitment to working jointly for the overall development of Khulna.

Among others present at the reception were KDA Member (Estate) Md. Iqbal Hossain, Member (Development) Ruhul Amin Qutubuddin Ahmad, Acting Chief Engineer Kazi Sabirul Alam and Acting Deputy Director (Administration) Md. Ejadur Rahman.
