RAJSHAHI, Aug 3, 2026 (BSS) - To prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season and keep the city's drainage system functional, Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) is continuing the removal of mud and garbage from drains.

RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton this morning inspected the drain cleaning activities in front of Nagar Bhaban.

During the inspection, he instructed officers and employees at all levels of the RCC Conservancy Department to take effective measures to prevent waterlogging and improve civic services.

He also urged residents not to dump waste and garbage indiscriminately into drains.

Local residents welcomed the initiative and expressed their gratitude to the RCC administrator.

RCC conservancy workers are engaged in removing mud, waste, and garbage from the city's drains.

RCC Conservancy Officer Jubayer Hossain Moon and supervisors were present during the inspection.
