KHULNA, July 6, 2026 (BSS) - Detectives of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 1,000 pieces of yaba tablets during a raid in the Sonadanga Model Police Station area of the city.

Police said a team of the Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB), acting on confidential information, conducted the drive at around 7.30 pm on July 5 in front of Runner Motorcycle Showroom on M.A. Bari Road at Gollamari and arrested Shakil.

A case was filed under the Narcotics Control Act against the accused with Sonadanga Model Police Station.
