KHULNA, July 6, 2026 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 542 bottles of Phensedyl during a drive in the Harddaha area under Sadar upazila of Satkhira in the early hours of today.
According to RAB-6 press release, acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-6, CPC-1, Satkhira Camp conducted the raid at around 06.10 am as part of the government's zero-tolerance campaign against narcotics.
During the operation, the elite force seized 454 bottles of Wincarex and 88 bottles of Eskaf cough syrup, totaling 542 bottles of Phensedyl.
The arrestees were identified as Md. Asadul Morol, 45, son of Md. Majed Morol, and Md. Ruhul Amin Molla, 39, son of the late Iyar Ali Molla, both are residents of Harddaha area under Satkhira Sadar upazila.
RAB said the seized contraband was confiscated in the presence of witnesses following legal procedures.
A case was filed against the two under the Narcotics Control Act before they, along with the recovered drugs, were handed over to Satkhira Sadar Police Station.
Company Commander of RAB-6 CPC-1 Satkhira Camp, Additional Superintendent of Police Zayen Uddin Muhammad Ziyad, said drives against illegal arms, narcotics and listed criminals would continue.
