RAJSHAHI, July 5, 2026 (BSS) - The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), Rajshahi Center, organized the Fruit Festival-2026 at its auditorium here today.

The event aimed to promote the nutritional benefits of local seasonal fruits and encourage safe food practices.

Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton inaugurated the festival as the chief guest. 

Speaking at the event, he highlighted the importance of consuming local seasonal fruits for better nutrition and called for greater public awareness of safe food habits and the production and consumption of indigenous fruits.

He said such initiatives help raise public awareness while preserving the country's local culture and heritage.

IEB Rajshahi Center Chairman Engineer Sardar Anisur Rahman Rana presided over the programme.

Among the special guests were IEB Vice Chairman (Administration) Md. Moniruzzaman Monir, Vice Chairman (Academy) Engineer Abdur Rashid, and Honorary Secretary Professor Dr. Md. Robiul Islam.
