Youth killed in Jhenaidah road accident

JHENAIDAH, June 25, 2026 (BSS) - A youth was killed in a road accident at Raghunandanpur village under Nityanandapur union in Shailkupa upazila of the district on Wednesday evening.

The deceased was identified as Joyonto Sarkar, 18, son of Binananda Sarkar of Jhaudia village in Shailkupa municipal area.

The accident took place at Raghunandanpur village intersection when a motorcycle hit a roadside tree as its rider lost control of the bike. 

Critically injured Joyonto was taken to Shailkupa Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shailkupa Police Station Humayun Kabir Molla confirmed the matter.
