RCC Administrator exchanges views with municipal waste department trainees

RAJSHAHI, June 24, 2026 (BSS) - As part of a three-day training course on waste management organized for employees working in the waste departments of various municipalities in Rajshahi Division, the trainees visited the Nagar Bhaban of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC).
 
On this occasion, a view-exchange meeting was organized at the City Hall Room of Nagar Bhaban this afternoon. 

The Chief Guest at the meeting was RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton.
 
In his speech, Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman said, “We are working relentlessly to build a clean, eco-friendly, green, and healthy city."

He added that, alongside RCC's regular waste collection, removal, and cleaning activities, there are separate arrangements for medical waste management.
 
Addressing the trainees, the RCC Administrator said, "The knowledge, experience, and skills gained through the training must be utilized in your respective workplaces to further enhance the quality of public service."

He also urged them to implement new ideas and effective methods in waste management to make their respective municipalities cleaner and more livable.
 
At the exchange meeting, the trainees shared experiences regarding RCC's waste management activities and expressed their commitment to applying the knowledge gained from the training in practical fields.

During the event, Deputy Chief Conservancy Officer Selim Reza Ranzu presented a documentary on RCC's waste management activities.
 
Also present at the meeting were - Mahmuda Parvin, Deputy Director of the Local Government Division at the Divisional Commissioner's Office; Rajshahi City Corporation Secretary Sohel Rana; Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Mamun Dollar; Chief Health Officer Dr. FAM Anjuman Ara Begum; and the trainees participating in the training course.
