RANGPUR, June 23, 2026 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 seized 603 bottles of ESKuf syrup and 8.5 kilograms of ganja and arrested an alleged drug peddler from Balarhat Bazar village under Phulbari Police Station of Kurigram district today.

The arrestee is Md Akbar Ali, 58, son of late Shukaru Mamud of Kurusha Ferusha village under Phulbari Police Station in Kurigram, a press release said this afternoon.

Acting on a tip-off, an operational team of RAB-13’s Sadar Company conducted a raid in the village and arrested the man with the contraband drugs from his residence at around 7am.

After filing a case in this connection, the elite force handed over the arrested person and the seized drugs to Phulbari Police Station for further legal action.
