RAJSHAHI, June 23, 2026 (BSS) – BNP leaders and activists held a position programme in Rajshahi city to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of the lives and property of city residents.

In the morning, City BNP President Mamun Or Rashid and General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, along with other leaders and activists, took positions at the party office.

At the same time, BNP leaders and activists from different thana and ward levels, along with leaders of affiliated and associate organisations, also took positions across the city.

While stationed at the party office, President Mamun Or Rashid and General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Riton instructed the leaders and activists to maintain party discipline, follow organisational directives and act responsibly while respecting the law.

Protesting against what it described as the banned Awami League’s anti-state conspiracies, disruption of public order, false propaganda and undisciplined political activities, Rajshahi city Jubo Dal organised a protest rally at the Rajshahi Central Shaheed Minar.

Rafiq Ahmed Dollar, Vice President of the Jubo Dal Central Executive Committee, attended the rally as the chief guest.

Special guests included Central Committee Vice President Mahamudus Salehin, Joint General Secretaries Golam Mostafa and Abdul Wahab, and Religious Affairs Secretary Kamruzzaman Nannu.

The rally was presided over by Rajshahi Metropolitan Jubo Dal Convener Shariful Islam Joni and conducted by Member Secretary Rafikul Islam Robi. Speakers at the rally said that people would never accept any conspiracy, falsehood, propaganda or attempts to create instability in the country.

They called upon leaders and activists to remain united and vocal against activities that go against public interest.

After the rally, a protest procession was brought out from Shaheed Minar at noon. The procession marched through key roads of the city before ending at the same location.
