Day-long seminar for Otithi.com salesmen held in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, June 20, 2026 (BSS)- A day-long seminar for the salesmen of the app-based company Otithi.com was held in Rajshahi. 

The special program titled “Team Work with Professionalism” and “Otithi Overview” was organized on Friday at the Nice Convention Centre in the city. 
 
Organized aimed at developing the country’s tourism industry, information technology sector, entrepreneurship, and  skilled human resources. 

The event was attended by people from various professions, entrepreneurs, businessmen, students, and young representatives. 

The program featured discussions on teamwork, leadership qualities, professionalism, expansion of online-based business, use of technology, and new employment opportunities. 

Speakers said that young people must be made self-reliant through the acquisition of technology-based skills. 

At the same time, emphasis was placed on the effective use of information technology to elevate the country’s tourism industry to international standards.
 
In his speech as chief guest, Lion Md. Saiful Islam Sohel, Chairman, Managing Director, and CEO of Otithi Group, said that training, technological support, and practical initiatives are being undertaken to develop young people as entrepreneurs. 

He noted that as an online-based service provider, Otithi is playing an important role in the tourism industry, ticket booking, information technology, and entrepreneur development. 

He also shared plans to expand these activities to the international level in the future.
 
Speaking as special guest, Brigadier General (Retd) Lion S M Ferdous said that it is possible to make a significant contribution to the country’s economy through skill development and proper training for youth. 

He urged young people to come forward with technology-based initiatives.
 
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Retd) Khan Saeed Hasan said that in the present time, professionalism, honesty, and skill are the keys to success. 

He advised young entrepreneurs to work with creative thinking and a positive mindset.
 
Lion Abdul Wadud Masum delivered the welcome address at the event. 

GM Munjur Rahman Tuku and GM Mohammad Nasir Khan also spoke. 

They said that online-based services and the use of digital platforms can play a vital role in expanding the country’s tourism and business sectors.
 
Lion Mahfuzul Haque Calis served as the presenter and trainer for the program. 

Through various presentations, he guided participants on teamwork, leadership, marketing strategies, use of digital platforms, and business expansion. 

Through his sessions, participants gained practical insights into modern business management and professionalism.
 
The event was presided over by Lion Md. Abdur Rahim. 

In his presidential address, he said that surviving in today’s competitive world is not possible without skill development. 

Therefore, young people must build themselves through modern technology and professional training.

He added that expanding training programs for youth in Rajshahi and other regions of the country would create new areas of employment and accelerate the nation’s economic development.
 
The program was moderated by Lion AGM Md. Sohel Rana. The convener of the program was Lion Md. Munjur Rahman Tuku. 

The enthusiastic presence and interest of participants made the day-long event lively.
 
Organizers claimed that this kind of event will help create new perspectives among participants regarding professionalism, leadership qualities, digital skills, and entrepreneurship development, and will play a role in making young people skilled and self-reliant.
