JASHORE, June 13, 2026 (BSS) - A school boy was killed in a motorcycle accident in Monirampur upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mahim Hossain, 15, son of Sirajul Islam of Bhojgati village of the upazila. He was a class X student at Kuada School and College. 

The accident occurred around 10 am at Atmail area on the Monirampur–Rajarkot road.    

Police said Mahim was riding a motorcycle from Monirampur towards Kuada Bazar when he lost control of the bike near Atmail area. The motorcycle then crashed into a roadside electricity pole, leaving Mahim dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Monirampur Police Station Abu Sayeed confirmed the incident and said highway police are taking legal steps regarding the case.
